Hoedown at Mr. Robert’s barn

Artist: Robert Goetting

Framed Size: 24×30

Medium(s) Used: Oil on stretched canvas

A “hoedown” was the farmer’s celebration after a long growing season. It was finally time to put the “hoe down” and enjoy the fruits of labor after the harvest. Many times the biggest covered area was the barn, so it was cleaned out, decorated and used for a get-together. This painting observes this festival after the fall harvest.
