Late Light on Whitney Summit

Artist: Faith Rumm

Framed Size: 31.5 x 41

Medium(s) Used: oil on canvas

Comment: The tallest mountain in the contiguous United States, the crest along Mount Whitney divides Central California from the Eastern Sierra. In this painting which looks north from the summit, the late light hits the western crest and Mt. Randall, and Tulainyo Lake, the highest in the U.S., is just visible in the upper right.
